2017 MTV音樂錄影帶大獎（MTV Video Music Awards，VMA）頒獎典禮即將在美國時間2017年8月27日 下午5:00舉行，本週率先公開提名名單，其中Kendrick Lamar分別在Video of the year、Best hip hop等項目中被提名，是本次被提名最多的歌手。
而其他諸如火星人Bruno Mars共計入圍年度音樂錄影帶獎等4項大獎； Ed Sheeran則入圍年度藝人等3項大獎，Coldplay、Kygo x Selena Gomez、Twenty One Pilots、Foo Fighters等皆在入圍名單之列，獎落誰家還有待正式發表。
VMA向來著名的不僅僅是入圍及獲獎，每年度的節目演出也都獲得眾人注目和期待。MTV也將邀請Katy Perry主持VMA頒獎典禮並且現場演出，本次Katy Perr因為知名歌曲〈Chained to the Rhythm〉獲得五項提名。而於此同時，獲得提名獎項較多的幾個演出者包括Kendrick Lamar、Bruno Mars、the Weeknd、 Alessia Cara、 DJ Khaled等也都將出席演唱。
