第64屆葛萊美入圍名單於台灣時間11月24日凌晨揭曉，曾為皮克斯電影《靈魂急轉彎》（Soul）操刀原聲帶的爵士新巨星 Jon Batiste 以11項提名成為本屆入圍領跑者，Justin Bieber、Doja Cat 以及 H.E.R.各獲得8項入圍緊追在後；今年以首張專輯《SOUR》橫掃全球排行的18歲追夢少女 Olivia Rodrigo，以及以第二張專輯《Happier Than Ever》再次引起旋風的 Billie Eilish，也不負眾望各獲得7項提名！而正式頒獎典禮將於台灣時間2022年2月1號上午九點舉行。
Olivia Rodrigo 在四大通類包含年度製作、年度專輯、年度歌曲以及年度新人更是入圍全包，展現霸王級新人的超強實力！她也特別發文表示：「我小時候曾經住在離每年舉辦葛萊美獎的場館Staples Center幾個街區遠的地方，我總是會在場館外看著所有得獎者的名字，也因為很著迷於葛萊美獎的歷史以及所有優秀的音樂人，我也很常在週末跑去葛萊美博物館逛逛。今年我有許多美夢都成真了，但我想這可能是最有意義的一個，感謝所有相信與支持我的人！ 」

值得注意的是，此次葛萊美四大通類的入圍數從8名增加到10名，葛萊美大會表示希望能藉此提供更多機會與空間給更多歌手以及不同樂風，本屆入圍大贏家 Jon Batiste 就以專輯《真我之聲／WE ARE》獲得包含通類中的年度製作與年度專輯提名，同時也在節奏藍調、爵士等多個曲風類別獎項有所斬獲，他表示：「能在多個類別中獲得提名對我來說相當有意義，我一直努力想要展現出所有曲風都是能連結在一起的，就像所有不同血統的人也都是緊緊相連的。」
此外，這次入圍三項獎項的 Jay-Z，正式打破葛萊美獎紀錄，成為有史以來入圍提名次數最多的藝人。他自1999年首次入圍，接下來的22年當中，有18年獲得入圍殊榮，至今已累計獲得83項入圍（其中有23項獲獎），超越了原本的紀錄保持人Quincy Jones（累計入圍80項），今年他也入駐搖滾名人堂，顯現他在樂壇深遠的貢獻與影響力。
