疫情未見好轉，美國夏季NAMM展宣告取消

全美最大樂器展、樂手們都想參與的 NAMM分成冬、夏兩次舉行， Summer NAMM（夏季展）通常在七月舉行，地點則位在美國鄉村音樂重鎮—田納西州的Nashville。雖然夏季展的新品比起冬季展來的少，但在年中還是會有一些完成的新品展示、試用的機會，且在Nashville展出更具音樂代表性，對於樂手來說，仍然是「逛街」的好機會。然而因為目前武漢肺炎（COVID-19，新冠肺炎）疫情仍然繼續延燒，美國累計確診病例數截至4月21日，已超過78萬，今年原訂7月9-11日為期三天舉行的Summer NAMM，也在四月初正式宣告取消。

官方聲明中表示，因為肺炎疫情的關係，決定取消這場盛會，因為他們理解到這場產業聚會若真的舉行會非常困難，且會造成巨大爭議，或許也會讓這段時間全球的自主隔離等健康措施功虧一簣。而與夏季Namm同步舉辦的展會頒獎活動如年度百大器材獎「Top 100 Dealer Awards」等，也將順延到明年冬季展才會進行頒獎。

Namm主辦單位也在社群上鼓舞大家「音樂即生活」，另外除了與官方合作的住宿可以取消且無條件退費外，官方預告了下一次Namm展的時間，將會是2021 年冬季的1月21-24日在加州Anaheim，以及明年7月15–17再回到Nashville。樂手好朋友們，儲備好足夠的零用錢（和身心健康），我們明年再見吧！
